In this work we present a new class of exact stationary solutions for two-dimensional (2D) Euler equations. Unlike already known solutions, the new ones contain complex singularities. We consider point singularities which have a vector field index greater than 1 as complex. For example, the dipole singularity is complex because its index is equal to 2. We present in explicit form a large class of exact localized stationary solutions for 2D Euler equations with a singularity whose index is equal to 3. The solutions obtained are expressed in terms of elementary functions. These solutions represent a complex singularity point surrounded by a vortex satellite structure. We also discuss the motion equation of singularities and conditions for singularity point stationarity which provide the stationarity of the complex vortex configuration.  相似文献

We consider a model for the flow of a mixture of two viscous and incompressible fluids in a two or three dimensional channel-like domain. The model consists of the Navier-Stokes equations governing the fluid velocity coupled with a convective Cahn-Hilliard equation for the relative density of atoms of one of the fluids. We prove the instability of certain stationary solutions for such a system endowed with periodic boundary conditions on elongated domains (0,2π/α0)×(0,2π) or (0,2π/α0)×(0,2π)×(0,2π/β0) for a special class of periodic body forces, provided that α0 and β0 are small enough. As a consequence, we deduce a lower bound for the Hausdorff dimension of the global attractor.  相似文献

The movement of vortices in superconductors due to an applied current can induce a loss of perfect conductivity. Experimental observations show that material impurities can effectively prevent vortices from moving. In this paper, we provide numerical studies to investigate vortex pinning and critical currents through the use of an optimal control approach applied to a variant of the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau model that can account for normal inclusions. The effects that the size and boundary of the sample and the number, size, shape, orientation, and location of the inclusion sites have on the critical current and vortex lattices are studied. In particular, the optimal control approach is used to determine the optimal properties of the impurities so as to maximize the critical current, i.e., the largest current that can pass through a superconductor without resistance.  相似文献

We show that, in the low-scale type-I seesaw model, renormalization group running of neutrino parameters may lead to significant modifications of the leptonic mixing angles in view of so-called seesaw threshold effects. Especially, we derive analytical formulas for radiative corrections to neutrino parameters in crossing the different seesaw thresholds, and show that there may exist enhancement factors efficiently boosting the renormalization group running of the leptonic mixing angles. We find that, as a result of the seesaw threshold corrections to the leptonic mixing angles, various flavor symmetric mixing patterns (e.g., bi-maximal and tri-bimaximal mixing patterns) can be easily accommodated at relatively low energy scales, which is well within the reach of running and forthcoming experiments (e.g., the LHC).  相似文献

The one-cut case of the Hermitian random matrix model in the large N limit is considered. Its singular sector in the space of coupling constants is analyzed from the point of view of the hodograph equations of the underlying dispersionless Toda hierarchy. A deep connection with the singular sector of the hodograph equations of the 1-layer Benney (classical long wave equation) hierarchy is stablished. This property is a consequence of the fact that the hodograph equations for both hierarchies describe the critical points of solutions of Euler-Poisson-Darboux equations.  相似文献

The effective coefficients in the quasi-steady Maxwell’s equations are calculated for a multiscale isotropic medium by using a subgrid modeling approach. The conductivity is mathematically represented by a Kolmogorov multiplicative continuous cascade with a lognormal probability distribution. The scale of the solution domain is assumed to be large as compared with the scale of heterogeneities of the medium. The theoretical results obtained in the paper are compared with the results of a direct 3D numerical simulation and the results of the conventional perturbation theory.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to demonstrate a generalized equation for describing the magnetization in spoiled gradient-echo (SPGR) imaging in which the in-pulse relaxation and magnetization transfer (MT) effects are taken into account. First, the time-dependent Bloch equations for the two-pool exchange model with MT effect were reduced to an inhomogeneous linear differential equation, and then a simple equation was derived to solve it using a matrix operation. Second, the equations describing the magnetization before and after the radiofrequency (RF) pulse were derived based on the above solution for the RF-pulse excitation and evolution phases. Finally, a generalized equation describing the steady-state magnetization was derived. The validity of this equation was investigated by comparing with the transverse magnetization obtained by the regular Ernst equation and analytical solution in which the in-pulse transverse relaxation is considered. When the same assumption was made in our method, there were good agreements between them, indicating the validity of our method. The in-pulse transverse and longitudinal relaxations decreased the transverse magnetization compared to the case in which these effects were neglected, whereas MT increased it. In conclusion, we derived a generalized equation for describing the magnetization in SPGR imaging. This equation will provide a suitable basis for understanding the signal intensity in SPGR imaging and/or T1 measurement using an SPGR sequence in cases in which the effect of in-pulse relaxation and/or MT cannot be neglected.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to demonstrate a simple and fast method for solving the time-dependent Bloch equations. First, the time-dependent Bloch equations were reduced to a homogeneous linear differential equation, and then a simple equation was derived to solve it using a matrix operation. The validity of this method was investigated by comparing with the analytical solutions in the case of constant radiofrequency irradiation. There was a good agreement between them, indicating the validity of this method. As a further example, this method was applied to the time-dependent Bloch equations in the two-pool exchange model for chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) or amide proton transfer (APT) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and the Z-spectra and asymmetry spectra were calculated from their solutions. They were also calculated using the fourth/fifth-order Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg (RKF) method for comparison. There was also a good agreement between them, and this method was much faster than the RKF method. In conclusion, this method will be useful for analyzing the complex CEST or APT contrast mechanism and/or investigating the optimal conditions for CEST or APT MRI.  相似文献
